Membership Categories
Electric cooperatives, municipal-owned electric utilities, regional electric authorities, or joint action agencies organized under the laws of the state of Alaska with annual sales of at least 800 MWH.
Active Member Dues: Based on a calculation that includes the utility’s annual retail energy sales and number of consumers.
Electric utilities with annual retail sales of less than 3,000 MWh and which are owned by a local government, village corporation, or tribe.
Affiliate Member Dues: To be determined
Utilities or utility organizations not eligible for Active Membership but with a substantial interest in the Association.
Associate Member Dues: Calculated based on annual MWH sales, with different rates for telephone cooperatives and those insured by ARECA Insurance Exchange.
Individuals, partnerships, corporations, or other organizations not eligible for Active or Associate membership but with a substantial interest in the activities of Alaska Power Association
Supporting Member Dues: $600 per calendar year.

Sponsorship Packages
Alaska Power Association offers many conferences, events, and training programs throughout the year for members. Annual activities include: APA Legislative Conference, APA & AIE Safety Summit, APA Annual Meeting, and the October Workshops, which includes the APA Accounting and Finance Workshop, the APA Alaska Electric Utility Legal Workshop, and the ARECA Insurance Exchange Insurance Workshop. With the help of our sponsors, the association is able to host these activities at reasonable fees so as many members as possible may take advantage of educational opportunities. Depending on the level of support, sponsor packages typically include the following benefits:
