Crystal Enkvist, Executive Director of Alaska Power Association, has more than 25 years’ experience in the Alaska electric utility industry. She began her career in the industry by serving as the public information officer for what was then the largest municipal-owned electric utility in Alaska. Enkvist joined Alaska Power Association in 2000 as its director of member and public relations, a role she held until 2014 when she was selected to head the statewide electric association and insurance exchange. Enkvist has a Master of Public Administration degree and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public communications from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She holds the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation from the Public Relations Society of America and is a Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Producer in the state of Alaska. Enkvist was elected by the Alaska Power Association membership in 2023 to represent Alaska on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Board of Directors. Enkvist was inducted into the Alaska ATHENA Society of business leaders in 2022. Early in her career, she was named one of "Alaska's Top 40 under Forty" business leaders by the Alaska Journal of Commerce and Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
