Michael Rovito, CCC

Deputy Director

Michael Rovito is the deputy director of Alaska Power Association, where he’s worked since 2014. APA is the statewide trade association for electric utilities in Alaska. Michael works closely with APA’s member electric utilities to implement an effective government relations program and to help advance the goals of APA’s members. He also works on content and planning for APA’s many conferences and workshops and hosts the Alaska Powerline podcast.

Before coming to APA, Michael spent four years as a chief of staff in the Alaska Senate, and two years as a legislative liaison for the Knik Arm Crossing project. He began his career in Alaska as a reporter at the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. Michael is a registered lobbyist in Alaska and carries the professional designation of a Certified Cooperative Communicator from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
