Susan Kosinski

Chief Operating Officer

Susan Kosinski, Chief Operating Officer of ARECA Insurance Exchange, brings more than 35 years of experience in the Alaska insurance industry. She has held a Property and Casualty Adjuster’s License since 1993 and has built her career through progressive leadership roles, including senior claims examiner, claims supervisor, and claims manager.

Susan has been with ARECA Insurance Exchange for 15 years, where she led claims operations prior to her promotion to COO. In that role, she was responsible for claims strategy, regulatory compliance, and service to ARECA’s member-owners. Her deep understanding of Alaska’s unique insurance environment—particularly in workers’ compensation, property, and liability lines—has made her a respected leader within the organization and across the industry.
She holds multiple insurance industry certifications and remains committed to continuous professional development. Susan also served for six years on the Alaska Medical Services Review Committee, where her work focused on issues related to the Alaska Medical Fee Schedule and fair, consistent medical reimbursement practices.

Throughout her career, Susan has been known for her steady leadership, practical problem-solving, and dedication to serving Alaska’s communities, members, and injured workers. As COO, she is focused on operational excellence, integrity, and strengthening the long-term success of ARECA Insurance Exchange.
